Jenn
Jenn has been teaching voice for over 20 years and is passionate about training female voices, specializing in middle and high school voices. She believes that a clear understanding of how your voice works and a methodical approach to technique allows students to build a beautiful, free, and healthy sound. With a degree in vocal performance and extensive experience as a choral singer and soloist, Jenn brings a wealth of knowledge to each of her students. She believes that once you know how to use your voice you can excel in solo, choral, jazz, and music theater repertoire.
Jenn has successfully prepared students who have been selected for junior & senior districts, all states, all easterns, and nationals. Her students have consistently been chosen for select ensembles and cast as leads in musical theater productions. She has also guided many students thru the process of applying and recording auditions for college music degrees and has had students accepted in schools such as McGill University, Ithaca College, St. Olaf College, Frost School of Music at Miami University, the Hartt School of music at the University of Hartford, Temple, Arizona University, Philadelphia University of the Arts, Emerson, and Boston Conservatory.
She emphasizes becoming a well-rounded musician with training in sight-reading, ear training, tonal memory and music theory weaved into her vocal instruction. All of these skills will equip her students to be expressive and confident singers.
